The Ministry of Defence received an official visit from His Excellency General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Pakistan Armed Forces. His Excellency is in Brunei Darussalam until 6th of November. While in the country, His Excellency is also scheduled to visit several units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, as well as cultural and historical sites in the country. On arrival at Bolkiah Garrison, His Excellency was welcomed by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF, followed by an inspection of the Guard of Honour mounted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Force.

His Excellency then made a Goodwill Call on the Commander of the RBAF, during which both sides reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and defence cooperation between both armed forces. In the afternoon, His Excellency paid a courtesy call to Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.
